TESOL Jobs for Life Changers

Stories from Career Breakers Teaching English Overseas

If you find yourself staring at the clock, wishing away your weekdays and waiting desperately for the weekend, maybe it’s time for a little time away from the 9 to 5! By taking a TESOL course you’ll open up a world of opportunities to teach English overseas: you’ll get to travel, meet interesting people and get rid of those ‘there’s got to be more to life than this’ blues!

Scott’s Story

“I have spent many years trying different careers ranging from office work and sales to journalism and radio DJing, however I couldn't find anything that really satisfied me.

“I woke up from an induced coma after a car accident in 2009 (I'm perfectly fine now) and realized that what really gave me pleasure in life, and what I am good at, is helping others and watching them achieve their goals. I looked around at what was available that would fulfill this need in me and stumbled upon TESOL. From February 2011 I will be teaching at EF in Jakarta. I am so excited I can't wait!

“The thing I liked about Jakarta is that it is alive in a way that you don't find in Australia, or many western cities for that matter. It's hard to describe.”
